Hush is a new kind of security system. Existing security systems work on the same basic principle of securing entry points, like doors and windows. Regardless of the size of your home, security systems are expandable to be able to protect all entry points and is monitored by the control panel.
Of the 12.5 million households in the United States occupied by people younger than 30 77% are renters and 23% own.
Whats wrong with traditional systems? Cost. Home monitoring services from larger companies are expensive to setup and keep running. Not renter friendly. Traditional systems require permanent installation and are wired into the home. No video surveillance. Only protect the home when armed and a point of entry is breached. No backup surveillance. My friend Jeff Sprague and I sought to solve these issues.
Our design seeks to create a more direct home security experience that eliminates unnecessary steps and third parties. The result is an affordable, smart system aimed at people in their 20s and 30s, the result is an affordable, smart system hat puts the safety of their homes into their smartphones. A central unit will be able to monitor a small apartment and expand to a whole house with peripheral devices. The system detects regular patterns, notifies you of irregularities and connects the user to their home and empowers them to handle the situation.
